Micro, Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme (MSECDP)

• The ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India (GOI) has adopted the cluster approach as a key strategy for enhancing the productivity an competitiveness as well as capacity building of Micro enterprises (including small scale industries and small scale service and business entities) and their collectives in the country.
• Among other things, this approach also facilitates substantial economies of scale in terms of deployment of available resources from effective implementation and more sustainable results in the medium to long term.
• Under this scheme it was proposed to forma mango cluster in Krishnagiri. A proposal prepared by ITCOT for 4.75 crores has been forwarded to APEDA. It has sanctioned Rs. 10 Lakhs for soft intervention to ITCOT
